Medical Clay
From the Arizona State University November 13, 2006, research is underway on the antibacterial properties of clays. Williams and Haydel have received a NIH grant for the study of clay mineral treatment for the treatment of Buruli ulcer based on the Madame Brunet de Courssou's 50 cases of successsful healing with clay treatments with specific clay imported from France. Some of the clays tested had antibacterial effects and some did not. Additional research is needed to determin shy.
