The dough recipe is a family secret, developed personally by Maria years ago using her family's tastes to guide her. It is has a unique sicialian taste. Maria says her success is her foods unique taste and its consistency, it has to be the same every time, and her love for meeting people. She and her son, Salvatore (she calls him Sammy) were busy when we stopped by. In Years ago her family started with a fish market on Sixth and Market in Steubenville, but it burnt down in 1977. Since then she has been making authentic Sicilian food only. On her wall are pictures of other Italian families who still stop by when in town.
