Watershed

Seven Creeks is the north fork of the Willscreek Watershed located in Island Creek Township, Jefferson County, Ohio which empties into the Ohio river just north of Steubenville.

There is an old seafarer saying, water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. Unfortunately, if we continue to abuse water, one of our most precious resources, this saying will end up becoming true, not just for sailors stranded at sea, but for all the landlubbers as well.

We are, therefore, using our website for general information on watersheds. We are just learning about waterheds ourselves and as we do we will pass this information along. As we have learned from the inspiring story by Friends of the Eel River, it is a long hard task to undue damage that is done to the watershed, so is important that each of us do our part to protect our own very pristine watershed.
